About Fixall Roofing, a Burlington Roofing Contractor

Choosing a Burlington roofing contractor often means comparing strangers on price alone, so this page shows how Fixall Roofing works before anyone climbs a ladder. We repair and replace roofs for homeowners, and look after membrane and metal roofs for property managers and building owners.

Here you will find why we stay in a single trade, what our safety credentials actually cover and who will be standing on your roof. Each claim comes with a way to check it yourself, because a fact you can verify tells you more than a logo on a truck.

  • 15+ years experience
  • 700+ jobs completed
  • Fully insured + WSIB
  • Working at Heights certified
  • 1-year labour warranty

How Fixall Roofing Started

Fixall Roofing started as a roofing business and has stayed one for more than 15 years. Over that time the work has added up to more than 700 jobs across Burlington, Hamilton and Halton, from single-leak repairs to full tear-offs and flat commercial roofs.

Our base in downtown Burlington is minutes from the QEW and Highway 403, which puts most of the towns we serve within about 30 minutes. Today we handle residential roofing for homeowners and commercial roofing for property managers and owners, with the same safety and documentation standards on both.

Why We Only Do Roofing

Many exterior companies sell roofing alongside windows, siding, decks and masonry. We do roofing and the parts attached to it: flashing, ventilation, eavestroughs, skylights and attic insulation.

Specializing means our crews see the same failure points every week, such as a missing kick-out flashing where a roof meets a wall, or a bathroom fan venting into the attic. A crew that splits its time across trades is more likely to shingle over those details than correct them.

It also keeps quotes focused. You pay for roofing labour and roofing materials, not a bundled exterior package.

Safety and Compliance Credentials

Most roofing websites stop at a two-word WSIB claim. Here is what each of our credentials covers and how to verify it yourself.

WSIB Coverage and How to Check a Clearance

Under WSIB rules, a business that hires a contractor for construction work, including commercial reroofing, must obtain a clearance certificate before work begins and keep it current. If the contractor is not in good standing, the hiring business can be held liable for unpaid premiums.

Homeowners hiring a contractor for their own home are exempt from the clearance requirement, but WSIB coverage still means an injured worker claims through WSIB rather than against you. We share our clearance details upfront, and you can confirm them through WSIB's online clearance lookup.

Liability Insurance Certificates on Request

Fixall Roofing carries liability insurance for damage to your property during a job. Property managers and condo corporations often need a certificate of insurance before a crew goes on site, and we can arrange one listing your company as certificate holder.

Working at Heights Training

Ontario Regulation 297/13 requires workers who use fall protection on construction projects to complete Working at Heights training from a provider approved by the Chief Prevention Officer. The training is valid for three years, and our crew holds current certification.

On site, that means harnesses, roof anchors and lifelines are set before anyone works near an edge, in line with Ontario Regulation 213/91 for construction projects.

Is There a Roofing Licence in Ontario?

No. Ontario has no provincial roofing licence, so be cautious when a roofer claims one.

Roofer (trade code 449A) is a voluntary trade under Skilled Trades Ontario, with a Certificate of Qualification and a Red Seal endorsement available to those who pass the exam. Some cities issue contractor business licences, so check local rules, but WSIB coverage, insurance and training records are the stronger proof of a sound roofer.

Manufacturer Programs and Industry Memberships

We install shingle, metal and membrane products from established manufacturers sold in Ontario, following each maker's written installation instructions so the material warranty stays valid.

We only claim a manufacturer program or association membership on this site when we can show documentation for it. If any roofer displays a certification badge, look them up on that manufacturer's contractor finder, and confirm memberships such as CRCA or OIRCA directly with the association.

The Crew on Your Roof

The people who show up are roofers, not general labourers rotating between trades. Every crew member working at height holds current Working at Heights training and is covered by WSIB.

Before work starts, ask who will be on site, who leads the crew and how to reach them during the job. We will give you those answers before your start date.

What 700 Roofing Jobs Have Taught Us

After more than 700 jobs, a handful of problems come up again and again on Burlington roofs. None of them are visible from the driveway, which is why we check the attic and the deck, not only the shingles.

  • Chimney flashing failure: step flashing with no counterflashing cut into the brick, or caulk used in place of metal, is the most common leak source on older homes.
  • Unbalanced ventilation: soffits painted shut or buried in insulation, paired with too few exhaust vents, cook shingles in summer and feed ice dams in winter.
  • Rot hidden under a second layer: when a roof has already been shingled over once, soft or delaminated sheathing at the eaves often only shows during tear-off.
  • Bathroom fans venting into the attic: warm, wet air condensing on the underside of the deck can look exactly like a roof leak in January.

Where We Work

We take jobs within about a 30-minute drive of 700 Ross St, covering Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Hamilton, Waterdown, Dundas, Ancaster and Stoney Creek, with Grimsby and west Mississauga at the edge of that range. See the full list of communities we serve and typical drive times.
